The Journey Stories: Alistair Davidson, Founder of Brave Heart Runners
From Iten to the world, looking to "conquer" the trails.
🌍The Brave Heart Runners
Iten (Kenya), Home of Championships.
You may have heard about this location because of athletes such as Eliud Kipchoge, Wilson Kipsang and Vivian Cheruiyot.
But, since 2021, this high-altitude town is also the Home of the Braveheart Runners, a project whose main "helmsman" is Alistair Davidson, who decided to create a foundation with the main objective of providing scholarships to local athletes to support their growth into elite athletes.
At the moment, and with the full support of SCOTT Running, there is already a group of 4 male athletes and 5 female athletes, which had already the great opportunity to participate in the Matterhorn Ultraks race in Switzerland.
🏆 For some the first airplane ride, the first time in Europe. And, being this the first international challenge, there is already reasons to feel proud of the final results: two podiums and one athlete finishing fourth.
This is a story that is just starting but that everyone will be able to watch thanks to the small documentaries that are being produced by SCOTT.
(And so that you never lack motivation, visit the “Hall of Inspiration” our Trail and Ultra running movies database)
📅 Next Monday (August 29th, 1PM EST), in another The Journey Stories, we will be able to know a little more about The Brave Heart Runners in a conversation Live on Instagram with Alistair Davidson.
